Nitty Gritty

This is my boy and I!!

Hello, my name is Shelley

I write essay’s about my younger years with my dad as a single parent, the loss of my twins, my son, letters and my life now and then.

This is also where I practice my writing, it can be sloppy and so can my grammar.

I have been married now for seven years, we have a six-year-old boy.My husband has two kids from his second marriage, I’m lucky number three and proud of it!

Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. I do hope you will stay but understand I may not be your cup of tea.

    1. Yes. Thank you for reading and I’m glad you agree. To me it’s silly to follow someone if your not intrested. I know it’s nothing personal. They’re lots of people who write good but just are not what I’m looking for and thats okay!

  4. Hey, you might find these things silly, but I went ahead and nominated your blog for the Infinity Dreams award. If you want more information on it, you can read my post here:

Will Always–In Which We Are Infinite

If you’re not interested in the award, you can just see what I said about you below:

Shelley of Life in My Tin Can–whose stories of being a mother, foster mother, and bird mother are all equally interesting.

    1. I don’t think awards are silly. I recently after three years started to receive nominations. Thank you for thinking of me, also for the comment you made introducing my blog. It’s a nice gesture. May I have your first name?

      1. That’s fine! Nice to have met you, will be reading your posts as I’m following you.
You can always do this award later (like 3 months time), there’s no rush.

    1. Thank you, A. I’m glad you approved. I appreciate the way you introduced my blog. Thank you for reading about my life and understanding where I’m coming from. I only hope, that people read between my lines. And today you turned hope into reality. There has been a handful of encouragement when it comes to my passions. And you my friend, make a part of that hand. I will rember you and your daughter, always.

  5. So…there’s this thing called The Entertainer Blogger Award that I nominated you for here:

I Feel Stupid…and Contagious–On the Occasion that Your Mom is Called an “Entertainer”

Even if you decide not to “follow the rules” for the award (you rebel!) I just want you to know that I respect you and what you write on your blog.

Just so you don’t think I’m trying to con you into reading my blog against your wishes, I’m copying what I wrote about you there below:

Shelley of Life in My Tin Can–Nobody is kinder or sweeter than Shelley. When I read her posts, they make me want to be a better human being.

    Thanks for what you do.

    1. First, thank you, for the nomination, Allysa. Second, I don’t see no cons around here.
Third, thank you, is not enough for what you said to me on your blog. One day, maybe. I will be able, to express what your comments have meant to me. For now, thank you, A!
